About Carol

Hi, I’m Carol, a former architectural designer turned all-around maker based in London via California. Before switching careers, I spent nearly a decade in the world of architecture and design, sketching cityscapes, wrangling CAD files, and helping ideas turn into buildings. During my time in architecture school, I also taught design media, which basically means I got to nerd out over typography, layout, and helping students bring their creative visions to life.

Creativity has never stopped being a constant. These days, you’ll find me making things with my hands and heart. I started Grumpy Goat Co. as a place to share it all, messy process and all.

If you’re into handmade things, playful details, and the occasional goat pun, you’re in the right place.

About Grumpy Goat

It started with this photo of me, maybe six years old, hanging out with a goat that looked like it had seen things. I, of course, was thrilled.

I’ve always loved goats. They’re misunderstood: scrappy, stubborn, often a little dramatic, but also resilient, curious, and full of charm once you get close. They climb everything, eat anything, and just want to be loved on their own terms.

So Grumpy Goat became my creative mascot. A reminder that you can be a little weird, a little intense, and still be soft-hearted and full of stories worth telling. This project is about memory, making, and finding joy in the details — even the grumpy ones.
